Employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative actions, detained two persons convicted in past – brothers, E.B. (DoB 1987) and K.G. (DoB 1985).
The mentioned persons are accused of premeditated murder committed by a group and illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of firearms.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The investigation established that the defendants, on February 11 of the current year, murdered their acquaintance - F.K. (DoB 1977) in Tbilisi on the grounds of disagreement between them. The victim was initially physically assaulted near his own residential house, and killed afterwards with a shot from a hunting rifle. Assailants fled the place after shooting.
As a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative activities carried out by the law enforcement officers, the accused persons were arrested.
The police seized the weapon of crime - a cut-gun as evidence.
The investigation on the fact of premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances committed in group and illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms, articles 109 and 236 under the Criminal Code of Georgia.
